If you'd like to donate books to Slant of Light:
1. Send us a photo of a stack/shelf to alwaysbelearning@slantoflightbooks.com
2. We will reply and let you know which books we are able to take.
3. Drop them off any time Slant of Light is open at your convenience.
4. We'll process them and get them up on the shelves to find a new home.

Unfortunately, we do not take cash. We know we know, a local bookstore that doesn't accept cash!? We are not trying to break the universe, we promise. You are very kind to want to pay with cash to support a small business, and we very much appreciate it! We've found the overhead and security associated with keeping cash on hand has made going cashless much easier for a small business.

Yes! We are hosting events every month to build community here in Old Town. You can find all the details on our Slant of Light Eventbrite. Here are some of the types of events we have held:

1. Author Talks - We interview authors about their upcoming books.
2. Book Clubs - We hold a monthly book club and anyone is welcome!
3. Community Conversations - We invite organizations in our local community to meet with members and curious citizens.
4. Workshops - We hold poetry and painting workshops.
5. Expert Talks - We have local experts and professors come and educate us on their favorite topics.

Yes! You can search our inventory, and buy books in our online store for in-store pickup or delivery.

We partner with Libro.fm to provide audio books. Libro.fm is a way to purchase audio books online and have a portion of your purchase go to Slant of Light Books.

Often times customers express they would love to support Slant of Light, but love audio books. Libro.fm provides a nice way to satisfy both. You can purchase audio books just as you typically would, and still support Slant of Light.
